So I should be playing more poker...

There's a common misconception going around here. I think a lot of people think that I play poker all the time. And I feel like I do. But then again, when I really think about it, I only play about an hour or two every day. I mean we only have but so many nonworking hours to do something right? See, here's how my daily schedule usually breaks down.

I work from 8ish till about 6 or 7ish. I put the -ish because there are days I don't go in till about 9. So anyways, let's just say I get off of work at 6:30. I obviously would eat dinner and then every other day, I try to hit the gym. Remember those YMCA points? Yeah, I'm working on it. I've accumulated over 3,500pts. If I get to the 15,000 pt range which is the first stage of the points pyramid, I get a YMCA key chain. Yeah, f*ckin fabulous. So anyways, by the time I am done with all that, it's generally 9-9:30. That's around the time my poker playing starts. So, I guess there are days I play 2+ hrs but again, it's not like I play bazillion hands in a month or anything.

Well, I saw this post by cmitch and I just about died. 50k hands in one month!? But anyways, I thought, that's kinda cool. So I thought maybe I'll see how my last 20k hands have been for me.

*Dear pokergods/FTP RNG, please don't interpret this as a brag post (which it kinda is). Please also don't switch on the "screw RecessRampage" switch either. I know what you did to cmitch. It's pretty gross, IMO, and I don't want to have to deal with that. Thank you for your understanding.*

Ok, now that I got out of the way, here's my last 20k hands which for me is like over the course of 3 months...

If I just filter it to only 2-4NL which is what I primarily play, it's pretty similar except I guess with a little less variance.

Not bad. Man, so if I just play more poker, I guess I'd even be more profitable. But since I had to talk about it on my blog, I guess now I've jinxed it... dammit...

Also... For those of you on bloglines or whatever else you use to monitor my blog. You can thank Kaja. The full feed should now be available. It will still be nice if you stop by once in a while and leave comments. You know, so I know I cool I am.

Domo cool, you are. Thank you for switching to a format we can all read and enjoy.

Nice playing with you yesterday. I hope my re-cap didn't target you as the bluffable one. Those were only a couple of hands I could recall that stood out. I wish I knew what you actually had....

A little late to the game - just saw this post.

Awesome graph. October was a crazy month - I put in a sick amount of hands for a few reasons. My wife was out of town 1 weekend, so after I put the kids to bed I played poker until I went to bed. I switched to playing 6 tables at times. I was really slow at work and put in a lot of hours while at work - especially Friday afternoons.

Aren't those 6k hand break even stretches fun? :) (hands 13k to 19k in 2nd grpah)

Nice work, put in more hands but don't go for overkill. :)
